Kite POS - How to create Purchase Order (Best Online POS Billing Software with Inventory and Accounting)

Kite POS is an online Point of Sale billing software package developed and marketed by Kite Technology Solutions. Kite Apps are targeted mainly towards small and medium-sized businesses and offer as cloud-based version that Track Invoices, Bills, Warehouse, Inventory and more.

Business can create and send Purchase Order (PO) to supplier.

Once PO created it can be sent to supplier though email as a pdf document and pdf document can also be e-signed before sending email.

Steps:
  • Select PO menu, click "+" button on the top, it will bring up the purchase order detail screen.
  • Select supplier and specify PO # and dates details
  • Add items using "+" button  it will bring up the item detail screen where you can specify the required fields like Product,Location, Unit, Quantity,Price,Taxes and then save the item, it will be added to the Purchase Order. To add more items, repeat the same steps.
  • Once all items are added, you can specify the shipping and adjustment cost if  it is applicable
  • Now you can send it to supplier or save it as draft. Once PO created it can be sent to supplier though email as a PDF document. PDF document can also be e-signed before sending email.
  • Purchase Order Status ,Once PO is created and saved in the system, its status would be DRAFT.
  • Once PO is issued, business can receive the items from Supplier. This is recorded in the system using RECEIVE transaction.
  • PO Bills Status - NOT_BILLED or PARTIALLY_BILLED or BILLED
  • Once PO is issued and packages are received, business may receive bills from Supplier. This is recorded in the system using BILL transaction.
  • When payment is made against a bill it can be recorded in the system using PAYMENT transaction of a BILL. 
  • Once the PO fully billed and received, it’s status become COMPLETE. This completes the life cycle of the Purchase Order.
